I've never heard about this band before one of their members sent a message to me, but it appears like they're a long-standing (founded in 1999) and relatively well-known band. The material on this album is hard to classify, so I'll go with the official description: "The band fuses death metal, dark metal, folk and gothic metal in their music combining growl with clean male and female vocals and adorning it with enchanting violin solos. The result would become a discovery for fans of heavy and beautiful music". + it isn't "post-black metal", despite it was described as such at some blogs. The music is very well played and produced, but it isn't really my favourite genre to be honest. Other projects related to ALD are Garth Arum (atmospheric black metal) and Aegri Somnia (avant-garde/neofolk), both of which I'm going to check out when I'll have more free time.

Automuro is a blackened crust band formed in 2011 from Valencia, Spain.  They just released their demo on Bandcamp in early June.  Though the lyrics are apolitical, the band claims to be leftist.  I found the demo to be pretty solid work, though I thought the cover was the best track.  The sound is good, but I think they have room to grow as song writers.  Given that this is a debut demo, I would expect that growth to happen.  I look forward to hearing more from them.  You can download the demo free from their Bandcamp page here.

Sick To The Back Teeth is an one-man project started by Chris M in 2002. Its vast discography has albums in many different genres, mostly drone and noise - but this particular release is black metal. According to Chris M., he was pleasantly surprised by the amount of anarcho-BM bands on my blog, and decided to send me some of his music (in particular this EP, in his opinion, fits in with the theme of my blog).

These two tracks were originally released on a split cassette w/ Boddicker (limited to 100 HQ cassette copies, sold out) about an year ago, now available as a free download. The most recent release by Kata Sarka, "Crucible of Misanthropy" (released October 31st, 2012), still isn't, though. There's no other news from the band (which is definitely one of the best American blackened crust bands), and their official site doesn't seem to be working for me. Maybe I should try to contact them via email...

Thanks to Panda for reminding me of this band, which may be the only all-female hardcore band in Chile. Unlike most Chilean hardcore bands, they're not from Santiago, but Temuco, and the while scene there seems to be interesting (albeit very small). The music on this demo is quite intense metallic hardcore, almost comparable to their compatriots La Miseria de tu Rostro; honestly I haven't expected it to be that good (especially for a first demo...)

This band definitely knows about my blog, since I received a message  from them containing their tour dates not so long ago (unfortunately I've deleted it by accident, but if you need these dates, you can find them on bandcamp). Although I don't remember if they asked me to post this EP or not, I think it'd be OK, because it feaures some really great stuff which many of my readers might be interested in (especially those who are into unorthodox BM/post-metal with female vocals).

From Chase of Deafest:  "Deafest and Evergreen Refuge are two instrumental black metal bands from Colorado, USA.  Both play songs that worship the beauty of nature, especially the Rocky Mountains, and reject the ugliness of man-made/urban world.  Though they are influenced by the Cascadian Black Metal style, they seek to define Rocky Mountain Black Metal as a scene in itself.  Since day one, I have tried to keep Deafest music free as a small resistance to the Capitalist world we live in."

I'm not sure I'm able to fully distinguish what makes these two bands musically distinct from Cascadian Black Metal, or at least not distinct enough to warrant another subgenre.  That said, I enjoy both sides of the split.  I think the Deafest side has more cohesiveness and better transistions.  The Evergreen Refuge side seems a little more raw and less polished.  The transitions seem choppy sometimes.  I do think that track 5 is my favorite on the album though.  Fans of Skagos should enjoy this offering, but be aware that it is entirely instrumental.  You can download the entire album in a pay-what-you-want format from either Deafest here or Evergreen Refuge here.

I personally don't think it counts as black metal; rather it is instrumental post-rock with some elements of BM and crust/stenchcore. However, ideologically AwAy seems to be quite close to a lot of the green anarchist bands which I've posted here before, so I think many of my readers will find this demo interesting.

Like in case with Mortal Plague, I won't call Tormentium a "cascadian black metal" band, even though they're from Oregon and support RABM, as their music is more or less standard melodic black/death metal. However, they're acquainted with some of the most well known players in Cascadian BM and anarcho USBM.

"Cursed Beyond Flesh" was released in 2011 on CD-R (100 copies, which all are now sold out). The first track is a kind of a spoken word intro, which you can safely skip if you want. More info on this EP from the band:
