AESAHAETTR "demo"
Year: 2010
Genre: Black Metal
Country: Canada
Track List:
Side A
- Svalbard Infinite
- The Sundering Blade of Bolvangar
- The Fury of the Panserbjorn
- Among Witches
- Teleutaia Makhaira
This demo was sent to me by Media Tree Recordings, who found it suitable for my blog. Æsahættr is a BM project from Montreal (Quebec, Canada). Though not overtly political (lyrics focus more on anti-christian themes and liberation from religious thought), Æsahættr is still radical black metal. The cassette can be purchased from Media Tree Recordings in North America (http://mediatreerecordings.blogspot.com/), or Sunyata Recordings in Europe. (http://sunyatarecordings.blogspot.com/). The myspace page is: http://www.myspace.com/aesahaettrdestroyerofgods
oh yes, side b is awesome. you definitely need to get that. this demo is one of my favorite bm releases this year.
ReplyDeletehell yea
ReplyDeletewas waitin for this
sometimes quite "punky". i like it!
ReplyDeleteReminds me of Nattens Madrigal at times.
ReplyDeleteIt's worth noting that all song titles relate to Philip Pullman's "His Dark Materials" trilogy, the first book better known as The Golden Compass.
ReplyDeleteÆsahættr was actually the name of the subtle knife, i think. Great trilogy. Great album, too, of course
ReplyDeleteThe track on side b means "the last knife" in greek. "Machaira" is a poetic way to call the knife.
