SKAGOS "Litha MMIX"
Year: 2009
Genre: Cascadian Black Metal
Country: Canada
Label: Things Behind the Moon
Track List:
- Blossoms Will Sprout From the Carcass
- ...Of This Empty Land
- A Night That Ends, As All Nights End, When the Sun Rises
Finally, I obtained this release! It's definitely great, at least I like it more than "Ast" and "Himmelszelt". "Litha MMIX" consists of two tracks previously released on "Ast", and an interpretation of the song "Vastness and Sorrow" by Wolves in the Throne Room. That interpretation is intentionally raw and noisy, but still very melodic and atmospheric. A very good EP, can't wait for the "An-Archic" LP!

ReplyDeleteThat's the split with Wake - at least the Skagos side.
I'd give up the search for the demo, it's not gonna happen.
Thanks for this, though. I ordered the CD but haven't got it yet and have been dying to listen to this.
the ... of this empty land track is the wrong version of the song.
ReplyDeletesomehow theirs a no-vocals, no-drums version of this song circulating around on the net. and you have that one.
Ray of Skagos says he's send you the real version.
