Obscure straight edge death metal band formed by the members of Withdrawn in mid-1997. Not much is known about them, except that their ideology was often perceived as too radical even in the UK hardcore scene. After they split up in 1999, their ex-members moved on to such bands as Koreisch, Kevorkian Solution, Stockton Foster, Unborn, Cracked Cop Skulls, Touchdown, xCanaanx, and Kurohata. Out of these bands, I'm really interested in Koreisch. Their music was described as "Anti-Christian Doom Metal/Grindcore", or as an "unique mix of Grindcore, Doom Metal, Industrial Metal and experimental noise to to form their own never-heard-before never-heard-again sound". Definitely sounds like something I should check out (which I'll do as soon as possible).

  1. Blast from the past! Nice post. I would highly recommend "This Decaying Schizophrenic Christ Complex" by Koreisch to anyone who enjoys dark, claustrophobic and uncomfortable music.
    Great blog by the way.

  2. I'll echo the recommendation of Koreisch's LP. One of the best albums ever recorded. BK, if you wanna check it out but can't find it, give me a shout on last.fm (xTerux) and I'll see what I can do ;)

  3. Their "radical idealogy" was basically that a couple of their members were hardline and their vocalist ran Screams of Salvation, who released records by pro-life bands Absence and Day Of Atonement.
