2009: a summary

That would be my last post this year, and I want to say thanks to all of you who are reading my blog. I haven't expected there would be so many readers - now my blog gets about 450 his and 200 unique visitors every day. Most of these visitors come from the United States, but there are also many people from Russia/Ukraine, Italy, and Greece. France and Germany are also present, as well as Spanish-speaking world (especially Chile). But I expected some more visitors from Scandinavia (due to powerful crust scene in Nordic countries), China and India (due to great population of both these countries). The majority of Asian visitors of my blog come from Japan, and there aren't any visitors from Africa (except for Egypt).

It's also good to see that many people come to my blog by typing in Google: "RABM" or "anarchist black metal" - it indicates that they're aware of the growing RABM movement. But it's surprising to see people from Japan or Israel searching for NSBM blogs, or search queries like "christian nsbm" (though I wouldn't be surprised if there are any ;))

It's most likely there wouldn't be any updates in the next 10 days - I want to have some rest, and I have some things to do beside this blog. See you next year, stay tuned!

  1. Hey, I just want to say THANK YOU! for the music, you know i'm from México, and it's a little bit difficult to find this kind of music here because were i live the anarchist scene isn't stronger. Looking for some new Skagos and Panopticon releases. :) (Sorry if i write something wrong i don't know how to write english a lot).

PS. Keep the good work. :)

  4. Yeah, the NSBM cancer has spread to some really odd parts of the world. Searching around for random bands I've come across NSBM bands from surprising places such as China and Qatar which makes no sense to me at all. They are full bands too and not just one-person projects which means they found 3-4 other people in their areas to go along with their dumbass ideologies. Weird stuff.

  7. Well, don't worry if your English isn't so good, my English is far from perfect too :) Yes, it looks like anarchist music scene isn't very big in Mexico, but at least I heard about some crust punk bands from there (Complot Soviet, for ex.)

The only Chinese NSBM band I know about is Aglare Light, and it's one-man band. If there are full bands from China or Qatar that are playing NSBM, then it's indeed very weird.

Thank you all for your support! Unfortunately I don't know French, so I can't understand anything in the above-mentioned blog :/

  8. Hey, I dont have a profile here so I'll post as anonymous, but I'll be back to this place more than once. I think this is trully great work that you have done, however Im sad to see less and less black metal here and more of punk, crust music, which I like too, really, but there is alread quite easy acces to this on other blogs. I do understand that there is not much of such bands in the world, but, please, keep on searching.
    On my side I recommend:
Gallhammer - japanese female black punk metal (kind of), Tears of Gaia - really depressive metallish green anarchists and this Im not so sure but Vinterriket - not sure about his ideas, but whole of his music (blackmetal/ambient) is dedicated solely to nature
    Keep up the good work.

  11. Well, maybe I'm posting too much crust and hardcore - but the "pure" anarchist black metal scene is still too small, and I'm posting all that is at leat a little relevant to my blog. Yes, I know about Gallhammer, and I've just posted a demo by Seeds In Barren Fields. I haven't listened to Tears Of Gaia yet, but they seem to be just a hardline sXe hardcore band like Gather or Vegan Reich. As for Vinterriket, I've heard only a few tracks by him, and in his interview he claims to be completely apolitical, and all the pagan symbolism used by him - not related to any right-wing ideology.
