RABM zines

By the way, the 3th issue of the Russian punk zine "PunkWay" features a short article about RABM. As far as I know, it's the first mention of RABM in printed media (if J.Davisson's paper doesn't count).

Yes, I know it's all in Russian, so if you aren't from ex-USSR, then this link probably won't be useful for you. But I'll post it here anyway. If you want a printable version, you can download it from here.

To all my readers: if you want to make a RABM zine (or compilation), or just an article about RABM in your zine, write me to b_k{at}hush.com, and I'll try to help you. We should use printed media to spread the knowlegde, not only internet.

P.S. There's a new blog about leftist black metal, crust, death metal/grindcore, sludge, etc. Take a look on it: http://minotaurslair.blogspot.com/

Razxca - "Heavy Mathematics vol.1" (2007)

(sorry, no cover)

RAZXCA "Heavy Mathematics vol.1"

Year: 2007
Genre: Harsh Noise / Power Electronics
Country: Russia

DOWNLOAD (Now available in better quality, see below)

This is very obscure stuff: I neither have a cover for this release, nor the tracklist for it, and it's available only in 64kbps bitrate. But I'm sure it was released in Russia, and I've downloaded it in late 2007, because it was tagged as "anti-consumerist" and "anarchist". Recently I found it on my hard drive, and decided to post it here along with the other noise releases. I don't have any more info about Razxca, and please don't ask me how it's pronounced ;)

UPDATE: "Heavy Mathematics vol.1" was rereleased later in Razxca "Best Of" with good bitrate by Proc-Records. Download (327 MB)

Прокатный Стан - "Нюрнберг" (2010)

ПРОКАТНЫЙ СТАН "Нюрнберг"

Year: 2010
Genre: Martial Industrial / Harsh Noise / Gabber
Country: Russia

DOWNLOAD

This album was posted on gnwp.ru, and I found it quite interesting, even though I couldn't find any info about the band anywhere. It contains 4 untitled tracks, which are composed of the samples of Russian (and occasionally German) WW2 marches, digital hardcore beats, and extreme noise. Looks like it got mostly negative responses from the listeners, and I can understand it - this album really isn't the most people's cup of tea, and no wonder that the people can't understand it. But I liked it, and I think it creates a very unique atmosphere. Some of you probably will think they're glorifying USSR too much... but the whole martial industrial thing is all for glorious propaganda! As for me, I always was reasonably critical of USSR, but I can understand people being fascinated by the history of WW2 and the proletarian aesthetics.

BleakGrave - demo (2007)

BLEAK GRAVE "demo"

Year: 2007
Genre: Raw Black Metal / Harsh Noise / Digital Grindcore
Country: Italy / Australia

Track List:

  1. Resistance Means Attack
  2. False Freedom

DOWNLOAD

First I heard about BleakGrave in 2007, when the "Black Metal Anarchists" myspace group was the only source of information about RABM bands for me. BG was a result of a collaboration between two musicians - one from Italy and another one from Australia - with intention to create very hateful, misanthropic and brutal hybrid of raw black metal and digital hardcore/noise. Very political and intense, not for the faint of hearing! Don't know if they have recorded anything beside these two short tracks, but here's their myspace page.

Vaba Marat - "O Hermafrodita" (2010)
