Most of you probably know Sarcofago, one of the pioneering black metal bands in the whole world, and in Brazil in particular. But not many people knows that all the members of the band were from PCB (the Brazilian communist party). See this interview, answer to the question "if you were placed on the Economy Ministry today, what would you do?" They also released an essay in 1989, which condemns the morality of capitalist society:

"We're not sure about others, all of us suspect from others thanks to a word that established this social shit. This word‚ MORAL. The moral doesn't allow us to talk to everybody, to have sexual intercourse, forbids the poor to speak the truth. The moral doesn't allow us to think, act and speak. We're under the riches' moral, who prefer the idiot culture of television over the culture of their own people and land. The moral of christianity which denies life in favor of suffering and an uncertain future. We don't want to be saints, confining ourselves and accepting fate as impossible to be changed. We are warriors, we must fight for a better fate for us, our people and our country.

So raise your head and set yourself free from your religion, moral, sistem, dominating ideology and all these movements which trap you in this meaningless way of living. Rich people: your money is only good to grant your own suicide and provoke on the people, that you exploit so much, revolution and therefore your end. and that's why we want warriors, and not cowards who are afraid of going with open chest everything which is erroneously established in this country.

Christ‚ the maximum icon of these cowards, for he allowed himself to be killed by the dominating class, just like the people does nowadays, letting themselves to be killed the the church's ideology: capitalism"

But their lyrics aren't openly political, and mostly about "Sex, Drinks and Metal" (the band's motto)... and blasphemy, of course! BTW, my only problem with Sarcofago is that some of their songs have really brainless lyrics. But then again, I don't think that lyrics of songs like "Hate" should be taken seriously.
